Letter From The Chairman
Dear Haida Corporation Shareholders,
During the Sept. 2006 quarterly meeting the Haida Corporations Board of Directors approved a budget request that allows the finalization of the Haida home site project. The budget appropriation allows Haida Corporation the ability to complete the platting and surveying of the 92 replacement home site lots. This action enables the company to meet our primary goal of 550 build able shareholder home site lots.
The home site committee has stated certain timelines for the competition of our home site plan contained in our Haida Corporation web site. The information will also be included in a latter Haida Corporation newsletter.
A 14©3 steering committee was formed in 2005 and is currently made up of Haida Corporation, Haida Nation (Hydaburg Corporative Association) and the City of Hydaburg representatives. The representatives are working diligently to finalize a 14© 3 written agreement, as mandated by federal law, and necessary before the home sites can be distributed.
I thank you for your patience as the process has been lengthy and many legal requirements had to be satisfied. Once our final shareholder home site survey contract has been agreed to and the 14© 3 agreement has been signed with the City of Hydaburg, notification and instructions to completing the individual home site applications will be sent to our shareholders.
