Míijuu is one of six fluent Haida speakers living in Hydaburg, Alaska today. Working with the Hydaburg Haida language project he translated the following to help the children of Hydaburg learn the Haida language.

Let my ears hear the good things.

Gin stláang hl gya’andaas dast uu k’aláat dahl tla’áaydang.

Let me use my hands to help others.

Díi k’uukw sk’ajuuwaas.

Let my heart be filled with compassion.
